Besides being my all time favorite movie, My Best Friends Wedding sheds light on the realities of mistakes people make. If you don't truly express your feelings when you have them the person you are with or had been with will end up marrying someone else who shows it. Her soul mate married someone else because she pushed him away and did not reciprocate the same feelings. In the end she has to say goodbye to the love of her life.
